I was just checking out something on Jerry over at wikipedia when I discovered this sentence about the dead Jerry = "It is a Deadhead belief that he was found holding an apple on his chest and a smile on his face".
Is this really a Deadhead belief? I heard that he was found smiling, but an apple? Anyone who can enlighten me?

Kind regards from the land of the midnigst sun.

I guess I am with you NDH: WTF would Jerry be doing with something as healthy as an apple?

I thought this thread was about Jerry using an Apple PowerBook 540c laptop.

I heard/read that story once, too. Maybe in that "Garcia: An Oral Biography" book? Can't remember.

Hey, let's all change Wikipedia to make it a full fruit salad! (Pssst: I heard he was holding a canteloupe. Kiwi, anyone?)

Wikipedia is like finding something out from your reasonably smart neighbor. Could be true. Also could be total hooey. But maybe I just didn't get the apple memo.

Yes I do know that the information on wikipedia at times can be rather shaky (but fun). I was just wondering, isolated as I am from the deadhead camp, living as I do in Norway, if there was any else who had heard this story. Is this pure wikipedia nonsense, or is there some truth to it?

AR, there you go again. Everything on the wiki is True!

LOL, that's a good way to put it (re: Wikipedia). Also: Could be true, or could have been mischievously edited to insert misinformation 10 minutes ago by your neighbor's 14 year old.
